Privacy policy

The short version

RentJar keeps everything you enter on your own phone. We don’t have an account system or a server for your data, so we never see your properties, tenants, rent or expenses.

What the app stores

• Properties, units, tenants (names and phone numbers you enter), rent, expenses and loans.
• Your settings, such as currency, theme and app lock.

This data is saved in a database on your device. It is not uploaded to us or anyone else.

Backups and exports

If you export a backup or a CSV file, the file is created on your phone and goes only where you choose to save or share it. Your phone’s own backup (iCloud or Google) may include the app’s data, under Apple’s or Google’s terms.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made, not your payment details.

Tenant information

You are responsible for the tenant details you enter. Since they stay on your phone, deleting the app or using More → Erase all data removes them.

This website

This website doesn’t use cookies or advertising trackers.

Children

RentJar is meant for adults managing rental property and is not directed at children.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
